The Ministry's purpose is to help the
poorest of the poor living on the streets of Sacramento with the basic
necessities of life for survival. In addition to the items listed below
we hand out lunches.
 We always need: Clothing Socks, lots of socks! Shoes Underwear Blankets Pillows Sleeping Bags Back packs Hygiene items including: soap, deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, combs, feminine hygiene items, safety razor Camping Equipment including: folding chairs, camp beds, sleeping pads, tents In winter we also need: Rain Gear Hats Gloves Rain Ponchos Tarps Gloves Coats, jackets In summer we also need: Bottled water and shade hats. We make sandwiches and sort clothes from 8:30 to 10:00 am and then carpool to downtown Sacramento where we park and hand out lunches and clothes. 2008 Dates: December 20 This is the way we are showing the love of Jesus to people living on the streets! Any used clothes etc. in good condition that you would like to donate would be great. You can bring them with you on the morning of the outreach or drop them off the week before the event with Dave Coburn or Jim Holst at the church office. Church phone number is 916-791-1244. We meet at the new church building in Room B121 - which is the high school room on the ground floor - usually on the 4th Saturday of the month at 8:30 am. We are usually back by 12:30 pm. If you have to leave early that's okay too. No experience needed, Simply show up. This is a good ministry for families and children are welcome.
